Don't get me wrong, the amplifier looked great as is - the tweed cabinet was just amazing and its acoustics were perfect, but these vintage amplifiers always had a nameplate on the top face across from the handle. You can buy licensed copies of the Fender tweed logos from Mojotone and other sources, but while this is a Fender design - a lot of the parts choice and all of the assembly was pure Steggo. So I decided to do something more in keeping with that.
As you can see from the photo above, I commissioned a custom logo plate with "Steggo" in the appropriate font using the same dimensions as the original Fender tweed logo plate. One of my friends at PedalPCB recommended Precision Design, and they did an amazing job. While I was on the phone with Mojotone ordering the cabinet for my next project, they were kind enough to help me figure out the Fender part number for the tacks to actually attach the logo plate (they are "Fender Pin Escutcheon #18 x 3/8 nickel" if you're interested). I was able to buy a bag of them online and the rest is history. Steggi and Tremor the Astrodon were quite pleased with the result as well and decided to pose with the completed amp!
Came out great! I'm keen to do an amp or outboard reverb build some day.
